Easter!

We had a fun Easter at the Pletcher's house with the Ralph Family. Almost everyone was there, Gwen had a blast hunting eggs and playing with her cousins!

She also got to do the Mahomet Park District Egg Hunt. She loved it! What fun now that she knows how to celebrate holidays!

Visitors!

Gwen got to see lots of people she loves and Leo got to meet them too this week! Grandpa Erwin came to work a lot this weekend, so before Adam went to work with him on his birthday, they got to have a breakfast together! Love how they have matching morning bedhead :)

We had Darah, Kristen, Mara and Parker here. So happy to see them. It's so cool to have one of my best friends have kids the exact same age as mine. I hope they have as much fun growing up together as Kristen and I had!

The Bates' came too. Gwen loves Leighton! We also got to have Shawna and Makayla over, but I forgot to take pictures!

Gwen got to have a few playdates at Aunt Robbie's house, which is her favorite place to go! She calls Leo "Baby Brother" or "Baby Lo" and is more and more loving to him each day!

Busy Busy Family of 4

Life's going good for us, but busier than ever. We had Leo's newborn pictures, a few doctor's appointments, I had to go to the DMV, Adam's working on the house and working his main job, plus everyday things like taking care of the kids, cleaning, cooking, etc. My mom got here Wednesday and is leaving today but has been a huge help. We have managed to make some outings with both kids for lunch and to the coffee shop. I also have got to spend some 1 on 1 time with Gwen running errands, going outside, going for walks while my mom watches Leo. Adam and I even got to go out to dinner for his birthday. Wish me luck as tomorrow is my first day alone with both kids! Gwen's adjusting really well and I don't think having a little brother has been too traumatizing for her :)

Home!

Leo came home on Friday and we have had a good time as a family of 4 on "family vacation" since Adam is off from work. We have had visits from my parents, Adam's dad and Carol, the Pletchers, Adam's cousin Alicia and her daughter Tes, and our babysitter Joanna. We have made it out and about a few times; to the coffee shop, out for lunch once, to the doctor twice. He's been a very good boy and Gwen is adjusting well to being a big sister.

Leo Gray

Our Little Leo arrived on March 22. I was induced at 7:30am and later on after only 3 pushes and 10 minutes he was born at 4:33pm, healthy as can be! We are so lucky to have him!

19 Months

Ever since I got pregnant for the second time, people keep asking me what the age difference between Gwen and the baby will be. I can't believe she's reached that age-19 months! I guess when she's 2 I will quit referring to her age by the month :)

At 19 months:

She is very confident and knows what she wants (to eat, do, and wear).

She is super silly and animated and loud! She is very loving, sweet, and caring.

She is very independent and wants to do as much as she can on her own.

I know I'm biased as her mom, but I just think she has the best personality ever :) She has a great combination of traits that make her such a wonderful, unique little girl!

Spring!

March is here and it has brought wonderful weather. We have been able to grill out and Gwen has got to play outside quite a bit, which she LOVES.

Gwen has had a very fun weekend! We spent Friday afternoon with Mara and Nolan (Reese was at a friend's). They are so nice to her and let her sit with them and play the computer and share snacks. Adam has been busy a lot working on the house, but we eat dinner with him every night. Friday night we went to our church's fish fry for Lent with the Pletchers and she had a blast running around with the big kids. Then Saturday, Duvy and Paisley came for the day. She loves "Paysies" and they had fun watching shows, playing toys, and eating snacks (while Duvy and I got to chit chat and eat lunch together). After Gwen's nap, the weather was beautiful so we took a walk to the park. Gwen loves to play and wants no help! She climbs, digs, and slides and gets very messy, but has a blast!

Saturday night Adam and I had our last date before the baby comes; we got lots of errands for the house done and got a nice dinner out. Then today we all went to church and to Sams, Adam worked on the house while Gwen and I did some cleaning/laundry/grocery shopping, then we had dinner with the Pletchers.

Now that March is here, we had a fun weekend, our house is completely clean, all I need is to get through Thursday (my last day of work) and I will be completely ready for the baby to arrive.
